Loom is a long-form generative artwork, released on Art Blocks in 2021. Each digital artwork is created at the moment of transaction on the Ethereum blockchain. The unique transaction data directly informs the randomness in the work, no two outputs are ever the same and the code to produce the works is stored on the blockchain.

The algorithm is based on the mechanics of a four-shaft weaving loom. Horizontal and vertical threads interlace according to a virtual punch-card generated at the moment of transaction, often randomness distorts the orderly woven pattern. This work is created with p5.js.
